The three of us are exploring the idea of wearing winter white and how to add in color with it. I wanted to showcase a white dress in the winter with a print jacket and then colorful accessories. Lesley wore her column of color with blue and Charlotte added in a beautiful holiday color.
White Dress in the Winter

This white dress is a short sleeve one that I've worn many times in the summer. In fact, you may remember it from my idea of layering a skirt OVER it.
Since it was going to be somewhat chilly this evening, I also layered a long sleeve t-shirt under the dress.
Our evening activity this night was a Christmas light event. Since I knew we would be walking around and looking at lights, I wore my belt bag.
And what you see in my left hand is the accessory of 2020 (a mask, LOL)
Furry Jacket
The furry or teddy bear jackets are one of those more trendy items that I think any woman can rock. I wasn't sure I would wear this much here in Arizona, but I've been surprised that the temperatures do dip enough to wear it.
I bought this at our local boutique in Denver, and in fact, Nancy has the same one that you can see here. It's very versatile since it's a neutral print and will go with any other color.
Colorful Accessories
Even though the cream color is a good color for my complexion, I wanted to add in brighter colors with my accessories by my face. But this is also a great trick if your top or jacket isn't a flattering color for you.
I wore this scarf as one of my favorite ways to tie a scarf. In fact, it's not even one of the ways included in the 25+ options to tie a scarf. But it's an easy way to have color down the front of your outfit.
Socks
Before my blog post about socks and boots, I didn't think to talk about which socks I was wearing. With taller boots like this, my usual is to either wear tights or knee socks.
This day, I wore my compression socks because they tend to keep me warm. If I am wearing this sweater white dress in the winter, I always think about the fact that if I wear tights, they will stick to the dress. And then I have to pull out my slip.
You could wear longer socks that would come above the boots or boot toppers to fill the gap of bare legs.

OTK Boots
This is one of my most worn pair of over the knee boots. These aren't super high, so for tall people, they might only be at the knee boots. There are many different versions of OTK boots and I like the ones that basically stand on their own. It's hard to know this factor when you are buying them online.
However, I've had 2 pair that don't stay up very well. Needless to say I've purged those. So if you are ever looking for any OTK boots (and I highly recommend them for keeping warm), make sure yours stay up easy.
